Ran June 15 – Sept 10, 2026

$100 per card. While it lasted.

Your bank bought lunch.

For twelve weeks Paze gave $10 back on every $10+ purchase, up to 10 times per card — no coupon, no signup, no app. It ended September 10, 2026.

Follow the money

Wall Street’s ad budget. Your taco shop’s register.

The promo was big-bank marketing money — and you picked which small kitchen it landed in.

Bank ad budget

Your $10 order

A small kitchen’s register

Why local? Denver’s food licenses were down ~24%. Ten free lunches per card — the whole point was aiming them at the little guys.

Wait, what’s Paze?

The big banks’ checkout wallet — same folks as Zelle. Pick “Paze” at checkout instead of typing a card number. No app; your bank has probably added your cards already.

How it worked

Three steps, then repeat.

Activate the Paze wallet

In your bank’s app or at paze.com. Two minutes, and there was no offer signup on top of it.

Order $10+ and pick Paze

The $10-back banner had to show when you picked your card.

$10 landed in ~5–10 days

A statement credit on that card, repeatable up to 10× per card.

The golden rule

No banner when you picked your card meant no credit. You backed out and tried another card or merchant.

↑ This banner meant the $10 was yours. No banner, no credit.

Step one, back then

Activating the wallet.

You activated once and the deal applied itself. There were two ways in:

In your bank’s app — “Paze” lived in settings.

At your first checkout — you picked Paze and it verified you by email or phone.

It worked with nearly every personal credit and debit card (1,000+ banks were in) — and every card got its own $100. Two cards meant $200.

No surprises

The terms, translated.

My unofficial summary, kept for the record. The official terms lived at paze.com/offers; the verbatim capture below is the version that was live.

  • What qualified. $10+ in one approved Paze transaction, June 15 – September 10, 2026.
  • What you got. $10 back per order, up to 10× / $100 per card.
  • The banner rule. No offer banner when you picked your card → that order earned nothing.
  • When it posted. Usually ~5–10 days, up to two statement cycles. Still short one? Your bank is the only one who can look into it now.
  • Excluded categories. Gambling, pharmacies, financial services, medical, spa, and a few others.
  • Split payments. Only the amount charged through Paze counted toward the $10.
  • Discover had gaps. Some merchants couldn’t process Discover through Paze.
  • It may still be taxable. The reward can count as income on your 2026 return. I’m not a tax advisor.
  • No gaming it. Abuse could get credits reversed.
  • And then it ended. Paze could change or end the offer at any time. On September 10, 2026, it did.
